We’re getting the Cleveland field for tonight’s A’s-Indians game, which means I get to play my favorite game of the young season: How Will the Out-of-Town Announcers Mispronounce Marco Scutaro’s Name Tonight?

In an especially pleasing twist, the Indians announcers have opted to pronounce Scutaro’s name two different ways in the hopes that one will turn out to be right. Right now, they’ll vascillating between Scoo-tear-row and Scoo-TAR-oh. Although it’s only the second inning — by the seventh-inning stretches, we may be hearing several more variations of the former Cleveland farmhand’s surname. (For those of you playing at home, the correct response — or at least the one favored by the announcers who presumably asked Marco how to say his name properly — is Scoot-a-row.)
