Living in Southern California means I have to endure Bill Plaschke, the Los Angeles’ Times columnist who never met a sentence he couldn’t overwrite, a hard-luck story he couldn’t oversell or a good-quote ballplayer he couldn’t overrate. Actually, “endure” is really the right word — “ignore” is probably more accurate, unless it’s to point and make fun.
So naturally, I was delighted to see The Plaschke Challenge, an absolutely brilliant post over at the 6-4-2 Angels/Dodgers blog that asks you to tell the difference between a fake Plaschke column and the real McCoy.
