Oh, Come On

Posted by Philip Michaels at 10:28 AM in The Athletics

The wait continues for an Oakland Athletics-themed illustration from our mad, Korea-based genius. And it looks like the wait will continue for some time as the artist, having profiled the ballclub formerly known as the Montreal Expos, has turned his attention to immortalizing the 1996 Cleveland Indians.

The 1996 Cleveland Indians? Of all the teams throughout the annals of history, it’s the ‘96 Indians that spark the creative muse? Especially when there are so many other teams — Current teams! Teams based in Oakland! — that await their artistic destiny.

Also, what is Jeff Kent doing with his left hand in that ‘96 Indians drawing?

No, wait… I’d rather not know.

Don't worry, you can take solace in the fact that, since Spring Training's begun, the Hack-O-Meter can come out of the closet. (Not that closet. Ew.) This season, I think Caple's going to be done with Hicks and a couple other jokes. Seems even he's done with them.

In their place, I propose the addition of 'Steroids BAD!', which counts up, of course, steroid jokes.

What's Jeff Kent doing with his left hand?

Why, washing his truck, of course!

"Why, washing his truck, of course!"

OK, that's the funniest thing I've read in quite some time.
