Just got home from a cross-country flight from Dulles. It’s about 6:50. “Hey, the A’s-Red Sox game is probably still on,” I say. So I flip on the TV.
Just in time to see Octavio Dotel give up the game-winning two-run home run to Kevin Millar.
On the bright side, the plane didn’t go down. I think that’s the bright side, anyway.

Oh, so it's your fault. Everything was going fine until you showed up.
You aren't kidding -- I had the game on the TV in my office this morning and saw every Boston run scored. I turned it off for a meeting, at which time, the A's promptly scored almost all of their runs.
However, I did flip the TV back on in time for the Byrnes home run. And, once Dotel came in to "save" the game, I turned the TV off again. Turns out he can blow saves just as easily without me watching.
Hell, I get the boring parts of the game, and soon as I leave, something interesting happens. Had on Pacers/Pistons because there was nothing on, watched parts of it, meh. I tune in later on and I pick up the melee at about the part where all the players were off the court and the cameramen were on a frantic search for crying kids to put on TV. Missed the whole thing.
