No, I haven’t been posting much lately. Yes, I feel like a schmuck about it.
The crippling injury you already know about. The crippling workload you probably don’t, and really, why should you care? And in between all that, there’s been a tremendous amount of travel — related to that crippling workload we mentioned earlier, unfortunately, and not to anything remotely connected to fun — which doesn’t lend itself to ample blogging time.
And the shame of it all is, I have opinions — hot sports opinions! Opinions about things like Joe Blanton and the A’s non-rivalry with the Giants and all those commercials on MLB Extra Innings that have burned themselves into my brain.
I’ve resolved to hunker down in the coming days and write out some of those opinions, even a few of them are periliously past their sell-by dates. Better to record my most recent foray to Dodger Stadium for the sake of posterity, even if the game happened three weeks ago. You know?
In the meantime, here’s a picture from my travels to tide you over. It’s of an aging edifice that some might argue is run-down and more than a little past its prime.

And behind him is The Green Monster.

Who doesn't love Fenway?
This will all be part of a later post, of course -- no, really it will -- but I was actually surprised at how much I enjoyed watching a game there. Really great atmosphere, astonishingly intimate setting, and delicious sirloin tip sandwiches.
That said, the park is definitely not built with full-sized later-20th Century humans in mind.
Definitely not. What's worse is if you're sitting in a row with only one side to an aisle and lots of beer drinkers.
It's definitely part of the charm though.
