“I’m Coming, Sandy!”

Phil announced today that he purchased, for the low price of 99 cents, the theme to Sanford and Son on the iTunes Music Store.
Which reminded me. The other day someone — I think perhaps an ESPN bobblehead — referred to Billy Beane as “the Fred Sanford of Major League Baseball,” because, y’know, he’s surrounded by junk. Or because he’s constantly being pestered by his aunt Esther. Or something.
Anyway, picture if you will… After feigning a heart attack at the first sign of Steve Schott approaching, Billy Sanford would declare, “Grady Fuson has got to be the laziest scout I’ve ever seen.” And co-starring Paul De Podesta as Lamont.
I guess you’d have to watch a lot of TV to appreciate it…
