A special message for our good friend Jim Caple:
Perhaps it may be time to retire the Steve Bartman jokes. Ignoring the fact that all he tried to do was catch a foul ball as opposed to foment civil unrest or try to kill a guy, he’s not even the main reason the Cubs lost that game last year. But maybe repeated jokes about Alex Gonzalez making an error aren’t all that funny.
Guess what? Neither are all your Bartman joks.
But they are keeping the mighty Jim Caple Hack-O-Meter motoring along.

Oh and by the way, Jim — as we warned you back in May, the grace period in Moises-Alou-pees-on-his-hands jokes has now expired. You have only yourself to blame.

So where is Bartman now, as in January 2005. Did he get a job with the Marlins?
And the Yanks showed the Cubbies how to lose. Aug 31, 2004 they lost 22-0 to Cleveland just like the Cubbies on Sept 16, 1975 to Pittsburg (Stennet 7 hits) and then blew a 3 game lead in the ALCS.
