I’m Pretty Sure That Deserves a Red Card

For those of you who count yourself among the “soccer-is-sooooooo-boring” crowd, I offer this rebuttal, courtesy of the Moldovan first division:
CHISINAU, Moldova — The chairman of a Moldovan soccer team became so incensed when a penalty kick was awarded to the opponent that he drove his car onto the field and tried to run over the referee.
No one was hurt, and the game was called off.
Fans of law-and-order will be pleased to know the Moldovan Soccer Federation fined the offending chairman $1,900.
