Continuing the tales of Korean baseball cartoons, BatGirl links to a wacky Twins entry that not only features Johan Santana as E.T., but makes a reference to the A.J. Pierzynski trade.

In the panel for Joe Nathan, a giant hand cradles Boof Bonser, Francisco Liriano, and Joe Nathan.

According to a Korean translator:

Joe Nathan’s captions say “Terry[Ryan] and the Beanstalk”, a la Jack and the Beanstalk. The speech bubble says, “Mommy!! Look how much I got for Pierzynski!!”

Ah, ill-advised Giants trades, mocked all around the world. How heartwarming!

Also, fair credit: several people seem to be reporting that Red Reporter (part of the growing series of SportsBlogs blogs, all of which look too much alike for my taste, and all of which seem to use the Scoop engine used at Daily Kos) reported these cartoons first.

In any event, someone in Korea is getting a lot of Web traffic from U.S. baseball bloggers these days.

This one -- where Bonds is asleep at the plate and hits a dinger off Arizona pitcher Casey Fossum anyway -- is pretty classic:
