The inexplicably employed Skip Bayless leads off today’s column with:
You will not finish this column.
How is that any different from normal?

Word. I've hated that guy since his days crapping up the Chicago Tribune with "In the Wake of the News."
An entire column arguing that hockey is boring and no one watches it -- what a fresh perspective!
Can't wait for Jim Caple's take.
Ah, Skip. Had a lovely exchange with him last year when he bitched out Barry Bonds in a column for saying that Bobby Bonds was an alcoholic. Can't remember exactly what my e-mail said, but his response was that the newspapers never reported Bobby's drinking and tried to make it look like he (and the rest) were being good guys by looking the other way. See, that's why Barry's a jerk! He ratted out his own dad!
So I sent him a newspaper reference to Bobby's drinking from a few years back, written by one Skip Bayless. Never heard back from Skip.
I meant to do a completely different entry on this back when I first came across the link in King Kaufman's column, but never got around to it. Nevertheless, if you dislike Bayless' work and have a lot of time on your hands, go directly to:

The highlight: "Bayless, you can’t be this stupid or lazy and still have a job. We find your ignorance repelling. Your editors should, too."
Wow, for once in his life, he wrote something that was 100% accurate!
Now that Skip has commented on the NHL labor dispute, he can get back to writing the things that really matter, like Barry Bonds' Lazy-Boy and that time Terrell Owens stood on the Dallas Cowboys' star.
Skip I know it's been a while, but I still want you to know how much I really hate you. You an complete moron, whom doesn't deserve to be in the presence of Page. How can you say the Rafiel Palmero doesn't deserve to be in the hall. What does he have to prove to you? 3000 hits and 500 homers should speak for itself. You're a giant doush!! I hate you so much.
Seriously, this guys is a blithering idiot. It makes me wonder how people hire sportswriters, because not a week goes by that that moron doesnt say or write something that makes me go "wow, that's the stupidst thing I've ever heard".
im trying to find this joker's (skip bayless) email address. anyone have it so i can give him a piece of my mind?
Skip,
Your article was sickening. It's people like you who are at fault for our country's obsession with celebrities and athletes. There is a fundamental problem with your reasoning--these kids are in school, and school is the most important thing to them (or should be). The problem with our country and its view on high school and college athletics is that we have ceased to see sports as a privilege that comes with having good academic standing. Athletics are supposed to be an extra-curricular activity that enhances the character of a young man or woman through learning the value of competition and good sportsmanship; but at the student level, it is meant to enhance them as a student-not to be a distraction. How utterly ridiculous that a student-athlete can't attend all his classes because he is too busy with his sport. He is not going to leave OU with a degree in football. He is going to have to get something that will actually give him a decent life should he tragically injure himself. How appalling for you to criticize a coach who is trying to enhance the character of his men by requiring them to be decent students. God forbid that we make our college athletes actually attend their classes. God forbid that we actually teach them the value of making a commitment to something and striving for excellence in everything they do. This student-athlete from OU who you praise so dearly for his hard work on the practice field and work-out gym is the epitome of a young man in our society. He has selective diligence, and that is what all my student-athletes think is now proper. What happened to athletics being another tool to shape a person instead of it being the chief thing itself. It's a freaking football game man, and one day all these athletes (even the ones who play professionally) are going to have to one day lead a somewhat normal life--wife, kids, bills to pay, RESPONSIBILITY. What are we teaching them if we let them off the hook "as long as they are diligent athletes"? That is only going to carry them so far my friend.
wow skip, you are the worst sports writer on the face of planet and here is the reason why.
you dont give the Pittsburgh Steelers any credit,
they won the superbowl for gods sake. what do the Pittsburgh Steelers have to do to get a little respect
You folks know that this isn't Skip Bayless' blog, right? And that if he is scouring the Web looking for feedback, he's likely not going to wind up here?
Just making sure.
Update: Ah. Figured it out. You type in "skip bayless email" into your favorite search engine and this entry turns out to be No. 2 in the search results. And apparently people blinded by their rage for Skip and their desire to send him e-mail are just clicking here thinking this is the place to direct any and all missives to the Skipper.
We'll figure out how to make this Internet simple enough for everyone to use one of these days.
