Petco Goes to the Dogs

Tonight marks the second annual “Dog Days of Summer” promotion at Petco Park, which involves people dressing up their canine pals as little baseball players and bringing them along to the game. Of course, despite their stylish togs and the fact that they’re trotting around a spiffy new major league ballpark, underneath it all they’re still dogs.
The irony of this apparently escapes the Padres marketing department.
