So I’m scanning the news today, when I come across this headline:
Robertson Urges US to Kill Chavez
And I’m thinking, man, that seems like kind of a harsh reaction. I mean, I know the guy got off to a slow start this year, and I’m as perturbed as the next fan that he won’t accept the responsiblities of being a team leader. But even after that miserable start, he has managed to crank out 20 home runs and get his OPS up to .808 — if the A’s are going to scratch out a playoff berth, he’s going to be one of the main catalysts behind that.
Besides, while I’m not really up on my government studies, assassinating mercurial third basemen seems beyond the limits of federal power.
Then I read the story a little closer. Seems Pat Robertson was talking about a totally different guy. So… um… never mind then.
