The 2006 schedule continues to float around. According to Dave Newhouse:
Cal has revised its 2006 schedule. A home game with Louisiana Tech on Oct. 28 has been rescheduled for 2007 because of Hurricane Katrina-related circumstances. A game with visiting Minnesota has been moved up a week to Sept. 9, 2006, one week after the opener at Tennessee. Cal is searching for a Division I-A or I-AA opponent to fill the Sept.16 opening, and expects to make an announcement by mid-January.

No update yet on the sixth home game?
All I can say is, please let it not be a I-AA team. It doesn't help with the computer rankings. And while it's nice to watch Cal win in Memorial, knowing that it's a I-AA team takes away some of the joy.
Schedule it for 9/16, 10/28 or 11/25 or switch around one of the Pac-10 games (if the opposing team agrees). Whatever it takes to get the best possible matchup. But whatever happens, PLEASE not a I-AA team. PLEASE.
