Games People Play

Posted by Philip Michaels at 05:05 PM in The Athletics

Over at Catfish Stew, Ken Arneson declares a moratorium on board game-related plays off of Milton Bradley’s name after reading this fine Fire Ken Macha post. We would just like to remind the ladies and gentlemen of the jury that we were flailing away at this particular joke as it lay helplessly on the ground more than a year and a half ago.

You don’t need a Monopoly on common sense to see that having Milton Bradley on your team can be a Risk — and you have to wonder sometimes if he’s worth the Trouble. After all, Sorry only takes care of so much, and you can’t keep going Bonkers if you expect to succeed at The Game of Life.

That’s Idiots Who Write About Sports — your first source for painfully obvious humor. Ask for it by name at your local humor emporium.

Monopoly and Risk are actually Parker Brothers, not Milton Bradley. I mean, they're both essentially-indistinguishable divisions of Hasbro, but still.
