Posted by Philip Michaels at 11:45 AM in Media, The Other Kind of Football

From ABC’s World Cup coverage, and much maligned play-by-play man Dave O’Brien:

[Zinedine] Zidane, by the way, the fourth player to score in two different World Cup finals. The others? Well, as you can see he’s in some pretty special company.

The graphic accompanying this insight?

Zinedine Zidane: 4th player to score in 2 different World Cup Finals

So no, Dave, I can’t really see that at all. Who are the others? Pele? Pele Junior? Ghost of Pele? Fill in the blanks for me, Mr. Announcer.

The other three are Paul Breitner (GER - 1974 & 1982), Pele (BRA - 1958 & 1970), and Vava (BRA - 1958 & 1962).
