Some good bye week news.
Brandon Jackson, one of the most highly regarded backs from Oregon in recent years, is coming to Cal, reports the Oregonian. (Update: I’m told he actually committed a while back — well, hell, the article’s new, anyway.)
A major offensive-line recruit, Todd Huber, also chose Cal over Stanford recently, too, after visiting Cal during the Oregon victory and looking at Stanford’s horrible record. Go figure.

"chose Stanford over Cal"? I believe you were talking about Huber. And Jackson commited in August.
I thought I read Huber verbally committed to Cal? Did he change his mind?
Ho, ho! That's what I get for posting before drinking my tea. No, no, he chose Cal over Stanford, not the other way around.
