Online Petitions are Dumb

Posted by Jason Snell at 12:32 PM in Cal Football

I think online petitions are dumb. Nobody listens to them, nobody cares. It’s all a case of people patting themselves on the back for something, making them feel like they took a stand when all they really did was fill out a web form that will be ignored.

That said, I still signed it, and so should you. Feel free to call it dumb while you’re signing it — I know I did.

By the way, smelly hippies still suck.

Ah come on Jason! Dude, what are we supposed to do when our alternative options are so few. I realize that an online petition has little credibility when compared to a real petition but man, we have to do something!

Do you realize how close the radical elements of the vocal minority are to destroying the entire plan? This is not to be taken lightly.

Jason, as you know me, I will tell you that I have personally called every member of the Berkeley city council and implored them to do the right thing. All to no avail!

We have to do something, we cannot just sit back and watch all of this resurgence be for not...
I am very concerned and saddened by what is going on, and I feel utterly helpless. My god there has to be another way...

Well said Jason. The reason they're dumb and the reason everyone should go sign this one is the same:

It takes but 5 seconds and no effort to do.

3985 signatures as of now.

Hooray for Tedford through 2013 (or until he gets sniped by an NFL team)!
